FinLeap Insights October 2017

Dear FinLeap Friends,

whenever something exciting is happening in the FinLeap family, we are sharing our news via newsletter. If you would like to subscribe for it, send an Email with “Newsletter” to media@finleap.com.

New milestone achieved by the ELEMENT Team: ELEMENT received its BaFin-License as first full digital insurance platform for P&C. The venture, which worked the past months on evaluating different partner models and product innovations, starts now to onboard its various partners, from digital marketplaces and retailers to insurtechs and insurance companies.

Another big news is our new office in Milan! Marco Berini, Director of Internationalization and Managing Director of FinLeap Milan, was Head of Group Innovation at Unicredit and Managing Director of Unicredit EVO (the biggest initiative ever created in Italy for Fintech investments). He will, together with his team, accelerate FinLeap’s internationalization and be the first touchpoint in Italy for FinLeap ventures interested in this market.

The rest of our news is also remarkable – including two awards, one new venture launch and a new name for our Fintech Hub.

Don’t hesitate to reach out to us if you want to know more about FinLeap and the fintech ecosystem. We wish you a good read!

Ramin & the FinLeap Team

Awards for MoneyMap and Clark
This year, FinLeap has been highly active at the “Banken im Umbruch” Conference in Frankfurt. We did not only co-host our Fintech Dinner as official pre-opening event and a Fintech Ladies Europe Lunch during the conference, but our CEO Ramin Niroumand was also one of the few Fintech speakers invited on the main stage. The main highlight happened on the second conference day, when our ventures Clark and MoneyMap both won the award “Diamond Star” in the Fintech categories “Early Stage” and “Later Stage”.
