At finleap, we are not only strong in building new products for reshaping finance, but we also focus on reaching out to partners who would like to profit from innovative solutions developed in the finleap ecosystem. This is where our Commercial Team, based in Berlin and Milan and led by our CCO Dr. Carolin Gabor, steps in. As an exciting next step, finleap established a new point of contact for the Commercial Team in Madrid.
With Ignacio Garcia as Head of Spain, finleap’s portfolio companies who want to expand into Spain have a new partner on their side. Furthermore, finleap Madrid is the perfect contact point for companies and partners in Spain who would like to use digital products of the finleap ecosystem. Ignacio is a serial entrepreneur and executive, with extensive experience in the fintech and insurtech industries. Before joining finleap, Ignacio had leadership roles in companies like iZettle, Holvi, BBVA or Zurich Santander. finleap’s portfolio companies that are already active in Spain are financeAds, BillFront and finreach solutions.
Marco Berini is our point of contact for Italy, as Managing Director of finleap Milan. He has over 20 years of experience in banking innovation, as well as an overarching strong entrepreneurial instinct. With finleap Milan, which opened in October 2017, he focuses on building new portfolio companies optimized for the Italian market, supporting said companies in introducing their services to Italy, and establishing a fintech hub to cultivate finleap’s digital solution development. Our portfolio companies already active in Italy are financeAds, Beesy and infinitec solutions.
Dr. Carolin Gabor joined the finleap management team in May 2016. As Chief Commercial Officer at finleap, she is responsible for the business development of our ecosystem. Previously, Carolin spent ten years working for the Boston Consulting Group as a strategic consultant in the field of financial services and M&A. Afterwards, she became the CEO of Toptarif.de and later held the CEO position of autohaus24.de GmbH, both of which were successfully exited to strategic buyers.
Carolin currently leads the finleap’s Group commercial team and is the point of contact for the DACH region. The team may be based in Berlin, but their work has long been international. As of now, the team is working closely with our points of contacts in Italy and Spain.
