Clark Celebrates Its First Birthday

It’s time to celebrate! In June 2016, our insurance venture Clark is officially one year old. We want to congratulate the entire Clark team about their exciting first year! Keep it up guys!

In 2015 in only 76 days, FinLeap launched Clark – an insurance venture that allows customers to find the best deal from over 160 partners in just one click. On June 15th 2015, Clark launched its website and within 3 months of hard work, Clark launched its app (available for both Android and iOS), creating an easy decision-making process for its customers. Moreover, the venture successfully created a greatly diversified team. Dr. Marco Adelt, COO of Clark believes that “The Clark team combines entrepreneurship with cutting-edge technology sills and in-depth best-in-class industry know-how. On top of that, the team is constantly driven by an uncompromising execution culture, enabling us to implement new ideas and features faster than others.” To celebrate its first birthday, the venture asked its team “What do you think about Clark?”

One of the great events for Clark this year were the two TV spots on German television which explain the convenience and simplicity of Clark’s service.

Another great accomplishment for Clark was the completion of the second round of financing with help from The Target Global Seed Fund, FinLeap, and ProSiebenSat.1 Accelerator together with Karl-Heinz Flöther and Dr. Thomas Noth. With the 1 million Euros investment, Clark was able to pursue technological development and enlarge its team. Furthermore, Clark successfully attracted Axel Springer as an investor towards Welt/N24, allowing our venture to be connected with its audience through media.

In May 2016, Clark looked to the startup industry in Germany to figure out the importance of certain types of insurance. The study created involved 200 startup entrepreneurs and showed results of the companies’ preferences.

Throughout the year, the entire Clark-Team had only one goal: to become the go-to insurance platform in Germany. After an exciting one year filled with events and developments, we want to wish Clark an even better second year!
