Meet the FinLeap-Team: Emilio De Lazzari, CTO in Residence
Emilio De Lazzari holds the position of CTO in Residence at FinLeap. He joined the company builder in June 2016.
Emilio comes to FinLeap with many years of experience, helping companies succeed by using technology efficiently. He strikes everyone with his motivation to find the best use of technology for each venture.
Emilio De Lazzari joined FinLeap in June 2016 as the CTO in Residence. He found out about the company builder through a former colleague. As CTO, Emilio has a large range of tasks including helping Human Resources with the hiring process, facilitating ventures to find their technology solution, and implementing architecture to solve tech-related problems. Being originally from Italy and having lived in the United States, Emilio is enjoying the versatile nature of the FinLeap office. Today, we interviewed him about FinLeap, his previous experiences, and his work with the ventures.
FinLeap.com: What is your favorite part of FinLeap so far?
Emilio: I love being surrounded by smart people and being able to experiences the making-of-a-venture process from the very beginning.
FinLeap.com: How does FinLeap differ from your previous experiences?
Emilio: I was in the United States for the past eight years – a huge cultural clash thanks to my Italian background. FinLeap is providing an opportunity to be surrounded by international people in Europe. Also, it is the first time I have worked in the Fintech industry and it’s exciting to learn new things.
FinLeap.com: From all your tasks, what is the most interesting thing you do?
Emilio: The most interesting has to be the interaction with people and the sharing of ideas on a variety of topics.
FinLeap.com: Can you describe a recent collaboration with the ventures?
Emilio: I have worked with several ventures including Valendo. I have recently been involved with a new project that has allowed me to talk to many different people and understand the industry a little better.
In addition to his job, Emilio enjoys reading, biking and playing jazz guitar. He also loves to cook and has been creating recipes for many years.
