Meet the FinLeap-Team: Jennifer Dietzsch, Legal Assistant
Jennifer Dietzsch holds the position of Legal Assistant at FinLeap. She joined the company builder in May 2016.
FinLeap is a very new experience for Jennifer which is evident from her excitement about work. She says that seeing the ventures collaborate with FinLeap’s legal department is much more dynamic than her previous experiences.
Jennifer Dietzsch joined FinLeap in May 2016 after finding out about the company builder online, and now holds the position of Legal Assistant. As such, she is Christian Juan Ebert’s right hand. Her responsibilities include dealing with notary correspondence, preparing resolutions, and working on agreements. Being from Düsseldorf, Jennifer is used to the German legal system. She, however, has always dreamt of living and working in Berlin – a dream which has become reality. Today, we interviewed Jennifer about her collaboration with the ventures, her recent tasks, and her past experiences.
FinLeap.com: You joined FinLeap recently. How do you get used to collaborating with all the different ventures?
Jennifer: I try to help all the ventures when they need my skills. Since I joined, I have been dealing with changes in the names and processes in the ventures. It’s very interesting to see how my work impacts the companies.
FinLeap.com: Describe something you recently worked on.
Jennifer: The biggest task for me right now is to organize the legal documents. When I came in, we sometimes had troubles to locate particular documents. I want to be ensured that the legal department can find everything quickly in an emergency. In my opinion, it is really important to be organized in every department of the company, because processes can be made much easier that way.
FinLeap.com: How is FinLeap different from your past experiences?
Jennifer: I used to work in a law firm, so my world was much more corporate – filled with suits and paperwork. Here, I have more variety to work with the ventures on specific tasks.
FinLeap.com: What is the key to successful collaboration with your supervisor?
Jennifer: Great communication – and not only through emails. In our department, information is always flowing, so if I’m not sure about something, I always ask.
Jennifer is enjoying her job at FinLeap and life in Berlin very much. When she is not at the office, she loves spending time with her dog.
