Moving day at FinLeap

From the 8th floor of Fintech Hub “H:32”, where the FinLeap employees as well as some of the FinLeap ventures used to have their office, we moved to the freshly renovated 6th floor of the building.Logo Fintech Hub H:32 Berlin - Black background

New comfortable chairs, a lounge area, great atmosphere – the new office has it all.

In July 2017, the former bank building of Berliner Bank at Hardenbergstraße 32 became the new headquarters of FinLeap. FinLeap, the largest Fintech player in the city of Berlin, has been selected by the Berlin government to run the Fintech Hub as part of the national Digital Hub Initiative, in order to strengthen the national scene. The Fintech Hub “H:32”, jointly initiated by FinLeap and the CoWorking Space operator Scaling Spaces, is an open house for anyone interested in the digitization of finance. With over 11,000 square meters over eight floors, there is enough space for around 900 Fintech-People. With its enormous size, “H32” is the biggest Fintech hub as well as the biggest co-working-space in Europe.

“H:32” is not only opening its doors to Fintechs and startups. There will also be dedicated working spaces for corporates close to the Fintech scene, like banks, insurers and other players. The goal is not to work next to each other, but with each other, so that a lively Fintech ecosystem is taking place. Therefore, the event spaces and different community areas on every floor will become the heartbeat of the building. Fintechs, corporates, investors, guests and residents can also all meet on the stunning rooftop terrace for meet ups, fireside chats, coffee talks, as well as for BBQs in the summertime.

“H:32” is managed by the operating company Scaling Spaces, who are taking care of the renovation process. The renovations are currently running at lightning speed, with approximately 4.000 square meters per month being repainted, redecorated and furnished. By the end of January 2018, floors 3-5 and 7-8, will also have a sparkling new look and feel.

So, during moving day there was a buzz of anticipation running through the office. Keen movers went down during the day to get a first look at the brand new workspace and find out who would be their new desk neighbours. Finally, 5pm arrived at H:32, the moving boxes got packed and everyone bustled into the elevators, excited for the new office change. The FinLeap team settled in by organizing their desks, exploring the new communal areas or trying out the amazing and comfortable lounge chairs. All in all, it was more than a successful move and we are really looking forward to seeing the office getting its final touches to complete its look.

Although many Fintechs or companies are already interested in offices at “H:32”, there are still spaces left.
