Solaris is Europe’s leading Banking-as-a-Service platform. As a technology company with a full German banking license, Solaris enables other companies to offer their own financial services. Via APIs, partners integrate Solaris’s modular banking services directly into their own product offering. The platform offers digital bank accounts and payment cards, identification and lending services, digital asset custody as well as services provided by integrated third-party providers. In 2019 Solaris established the 100% subsidiary Solaris Digital Assets GmbH to offer a licensed custodial solution for digital assets. To date, Solaris has raised more than EUR 160 million from a bluechip shareholder base, including ABN AMRO’s Digital Impact Fund, BBVA, finleap, Global Brain, HV Holtzbrinck Ventures, Lakestar, Samsung Catalyst Fund, SBI Group, Storm Ventures, Visa, Vulcan Capital, and yabeo Capital.

The already experienced team around 24-year-old CEO Bastian Krautwald and co-founder David Meyer started in 2018 with a platform for student financing and now consists of a highly qualified team of 20 that is headquartered in Berlin.

Qonto is the digital platform for business banking for small and medium-sized companies, as well as sole proprietors and freelancers. Within minutes, companies can digitally apply for a business account and receive a German IBAN, debit cards, digital expense management and many other financial solutions. As an official DATEV Marketplace Partner, Qonto enables the transfer of accounting data via the official interface to DATEV. The company is headquartered in Berlin, with another office in Belgrade. In July 2022 Qonto merged with France-based competitor Penta.
